Kenneth Bush grew up here in Rochester, Minnesota. He is the owner of Bush Management Company & Bush Companies - Bush started out in business as a caretaker by cleaning apartments and he received his real estate license from the Minnesota Department of Commerce in 2002. Kenneth was affiliated with Edina Realty's Corporate Headquarters in Edina, MN where he was an original board member for the Corporate Diversity Program. He has worked for some of the most prominent real estate developers, brokers, builders on new construction and redevelopment projects as an employee, owner and policymaker, that have resulted in over $250,000,000 in development projects throughout the State of Minnesota. Bush is an advocate for his industry and advises others as a business development mentor. His company is a Rochester based Minority Owned Business Enterprise of BIPOC covering everything from Real Estate, Community Development, Construction, and State and Local Government Contracting. By having these relationships in the Halls of State | Local government agencies he is leading the change to create a more inclusive industry state-wide.
EDUCATION: He was awarded a full scholarship to the University of St. Thomas – Opus College of Business where he studied the Commercial Real Estate Specialist Program and graduated in 2006 and at the same time received an extended mini MBA in Real Estate Development. In 2014 he earned a graduate certificate in Economic Development from Hamline University – College of Business at the Center for Public Administration & Leadership. In 2021 He completed a training certification with Winona State University - Destination Medical Center, City of Rochester and other local contractors on Inclusive Workforce Participation Plans & Workforce Diversity in Bidding Practices.
POLICY: Kenneth is also a policy maker in his community as vice chairman of the Olmsted County Planning Board of Commissioners, a certified DMC Ambassador, and served as an elected Rochester Area Builders Board member in 2020, currently in his 5th year on the Governmental Affairs Committee member at RAB . He was elected to be a State Director for the Builders Association of Minnesota in 2021 and working as a member of the government relations team at the capital. He is a member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council, a 2021 Urban Land Institute ULI - Real Estate Diversity & Inclusion Fellow and the Founder of the Minnesota Minority Trades Council.
